Dry Plastering Licence Tasmania

Plastering professionals in Tasmania must obtain a dry plastering licence from the Department of Justice’s accreditation scheme for the construction industry. In addition to a dry plastering licence, plasterers are required to also carry:

  • Perform High Risk Work licence
  • Construction Induction Card

Requirements

Tasmania divides qualifications for a dry plastering licence into three types of building work:

  • For low rise construction, you will need –
  • Cert IV Building and Construction (Building)
  • 2+ years if you have a building trade qualification OR 4+ years if you don’t have a building trade qualification

For low rise construction, you will need –

  • Diploma Building and Construction (Building)
  • 2+ years if you have a building trade qualification OR 4+ years if you don’t have a building trade qualification

For open construction, you will need –

  • Advanced Diploma of Building and Construction Management or a Degree Building
  • 3+ years if you have a building trade qualification OR 6+ years if you don’t have a building trade qualification

How to Apply

Compile the following documents to apply for your dry plastering licence in Tasmania:

  • Building Practitioner Application form
  • Curriculum vita
  • Statement of experience
  • 2+ detailed references from industry professionals or accredited professionals

Pay your application fee of $550.80 when you lodge your application at any Service Tasmania shop.
